In the season two premiere of The Flash, we saw Firestorm (Robbie Amell) sacrifice his life to help close the Singularity over Central City. Many fans figured that instead of the character dying, he was somehow transported to Earth 2, an alternate version of the world that The Flash takes place in . The show’s producers have since denied this rumor, but we haven’t seen the last of Ronnie Raymond. Just last month the CW confirmed that Robbie Amell would be returning to The Flash as Deathstom, the evil version of Ronnie from Earth 2. The actor was asked about his upcoming role as a villain at Heroes and Villains Fan Fest in New Jersey where he spilled a very spoilery detail regarding his return to the hit series.
“In episode 13, so in a couple weeks, you’ll see me as Deathstorm, and Caitlin as Killer Frost. So I get to come back, and I kill a series regular. So there’s that, I’m probably going to get in trouble for saying that.”
This news comes as a huge surprise considering no one was expecting a major character death from The Flash this season. So now the question is, who dies? The only seemingly logical choice is Teddy Sears’ Jay Garrick.
If you think about it, the character isn’t really doing much at all this season, aside from being a love interest from Caitlin Snow, and giving occasional advice to the Scarlet Speedster. There’s also the possibility of Deathstorm killing an Earth 2 version of our main characters. Who do you think is getting axed? Is it an Earth 2 version of a series regular, or an actual one?
