Rumors have been circulating about whether or not the new Justice League: Part One will be happening or not, but it seems that Warner Bros. have decided to put an end to it. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly director Zack Snyder and the studio have announced that the first live action installment of the “World’s Greatest Heroes” begins on April 11th! Only a few days after we get Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice on the big screen. Here is what director, Zack Snyder had to say:
It was a little bit of an ‘about time’ moment, and I don’t blame [the studio] for feeling that way, because it’s a long time coming,” says Snyder. “But I do feel like it’s a little bit of a creative hurdle. It seems like an easy thing to do at first glance, the idea that, ‘Oh, we just get the rest of the superheroes in there.’ But you have to [establish] a world where they can exist.”
Justice League: Part One will bring more of the other heroes that won’t be heavily featured in Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice, such as Ezra Miller’s Flash, Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, and Ray Fischer’s Cyborg.
As of now the film is planned to begin filming at the Warner Bros. Leavesden studios in southeast England along with various other locations in London and Iceland.
Justice League: Part One comes out November 17th, 2017 a few months after Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman solo film on June 23. Two other characters will be better established in Justice League: Part One and the next year Flash and Aquaman will follow with their own solo films.
