Sally Field States ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ Films Weren’t Her ‘Type of Movies’

The Amazing Spider-Man  franchise left a bad taste in the mouths of many, including Sally Field, who portrayed Aunt May in the films. Had it not been for producer Laura Ziskin being a part of the project, it seems as though Field would not have been a part of it, as she was quoted saying:

“Not especially my kind of movie. But my friend Laura Ziskin was the producer, and we knew it would be her last film. And she was my first producing partner and she was spectacular.”

This seems like a reasonable explanation for taking part in a movie that she would not normally go for. However, Field took a very nasty shot at the franchise.

“…you can’t put ten pounds of shit in a five-pound bag.”

Harsh words from Sally Field. Lucky for her, Marisa Tomei has filled her role in the Spider-Man reboot set to debut in 2017.

What do you guys think? Did you like Sally Field as Aunt May? Who would you have rather seen alongside Andrew Garfield? What do you think of the reboot casting? Let us know in the comments!
