As Captain America: Civil War approaches, eyes are set on the titular character in this film. As it is Captain America’s third film and his fifth appearance in the MCU, viewers are expecting to see great things from him, specifically in terms of action. In Steve Rogers’ first appearance in the MCU, he stated: “I don’t want to kill anyone” before he received the super soldier serum. While this seems to be the noble or heroic thing to say, he will go on to completely forgo this statement after gaining a large amount of strength and an indestructible shield. A new video made by Mr. Sunday Movies shows all of the on-screen kills at the hands of Captain America.
The rather large sum of 14,089 fatalities included Nazis, Chitari, a variety of different humans, including S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, and Ultron’s robots. While this number may seem surprisingly large, the bulk of these fatalities came from Cap destroying the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarriers in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Also noteworthy, there was only a mere total of nine Chitauri killed in the events of The Avengers which almost undoubtedly does not count the many others he most likely killed throughout the entirety of the invasion. This is also applicable to the events of Age of Ultron, in which Captain America most likely stopped more than just thirty-two of Ultron’s minions. It can be assumed these were simply all the deaths shown on-screen.
Captain America: Civil War will premiere in theaters May 6th, where viewers will surely see several more deaths at the hands of the apparently murderous psychopath Captain America.
