ABCNews recently released some more behind-the-scenes footage and interviews of this year’s highly anticipated Captain America: Civil War, which, in some parts, will be quite the controversy among fans (you know, the whole #TeamCap and #TeamIronMan thing).
“It’s not going to be entirely predictable, and characters are gonna make choices that surprise you”, Robert Downey Jr. tells ABC.
RDJ’s Tony Stark could actually very well be one of those unpredictable characters of the movie, as co-director Joe Russo says that “Downey is playing … a much darker version of Tony Stark than he’s ever played, and he’s crushing it.”
When asked whether her character was good or bad, Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlett Witch) replied: ““I think we’re all good and bad in this film […] because it’s a civil war.”. And Chadwick Boseman, who will be making his debut as T’Challa/Black Panther added that he’s really not siding with either one of the ‘teams’ among the Avengers, even though in the trailers he fights alongside Iron Man.
