Robert Downey Junior Signs On For ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’

After both speculation, and teases from Robert Downey Junior himself, The Hollywood Reporter claims that the actor has now finalized talks with Marvel about appearing in the first Sony/Marvel Spider-Man film. The movie, set to be released in July of 2017 begins pre-production very shortly, so odds are that Downey Jr.’s appearance could be shot towards the start of shooting.

Details regarding the role that Tony Stark will play in the web-slingers first MCU film has yet to be released, however one can’t help but speculate. Could it be related to Oscorp? Will he and Peter parker develop another new suit? Only time will tell.
