Simon Kinberg Talks Deleted ‘Apocalypse’ Scenes and Upcoming X-Men Projects

Recently, Collider had a chance to interview Simon Kingerg about various aspects of X-Men: Apocalypse, as well as upcoming projects that are sure to excite fans.

He spoke of a deleted scene (that will probably appear on the DVD) where the young X-Men are walking through a mall and Nightcrawler starts breakdancing with a group of dancers. With all of the trailers giving the film a pretty dismal tone, it’s easy to see why they would’ve chosen to take this scene out.

Another interesting tidbit that Kinberg gave is that Hugh Jackman’s final Wolverine movie has already begun filming. When asked about whether or not Patrick Stewart would appear in the film, Kinberg revealed that he was rumored to appear, as the film does take place in the future, however he did not confirm or deny the actor’s appearance. He did however say that Professor X is going to appear in New Mutants, which will probably begin filming early 2017.

A movie that fans have been dying to see, X-Force, was brought up as well. Collider asked Kinberg when we might be seeing it, and he said that they want to use Deadpool’s story arc to hopefully lead into the movie. Unfortunately he did not say whether they’d begin working on that project directly after Deadpool 2 or somewhere later on down the road.

What do you guys think? Are you stoked for Apocalypse? What other X-Men projects are you excited for? Let us know in the comments as well as on our Twitter and Instagram!
