As more news continues to flow from last week’s Justice League set visit, we now have an official synopsis for the film which not only gives us an idea for the plot, it also lets us know where our heroes are at after the death of Superman in Dawn of Justice. Check it out!
“Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman, and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented League of heroes – Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash – it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.”
Based on that quick synopsis, it seems like Superman’s death could be taking a back seat in Justice Leauge. So far there hasn’t been any mention of him. Still, it would be strange for the first film featuring the entire Justice League to not have the Man of Steel, so I do expect him to show up alive at some point.
Now on to the villain – remember that deleted Communion scene that was released a few weeks after Batman v Superman? It showed Lex Luthor standing in front of this massive being in possession of 3 boxes. Here’s a refresher if you don’t remember.
Meet Steppenwolf, the villain of the first Justice League movie. It’s said that he’ll be rocking a totally different look than he had in the Dawn of Justice deleted scene. For those of you unfamiliar with his character, Steppenwolf is a member of Darkseid’s Elite, and is also his right hand man. With abilities like superhuman strength, speed, agility, endurance and reflexes, he’s more than a qualified opponent to take on the Justice League in their first outing.
Justice League hits theaters November 17th, 2017.
