By the end of Batman V Superman, Lex Luthor was jailed for the creation of Doomsday and the consequential destruction of Metropolis, as well as organizing the assassination of a U.S. senator. It was in jail when we first saw him with his characteristic ‘haircut’ from the comics – a bald head.
Jesse Eisenberg himself recently confirmed that he would make an appearance in next year’s Justice League, however, a few days prior to this director Zack Snyder already teased just that.
During a press set visit of the Justice League set, press noticed that Eisenberg was nowhere to be seen, and thus asked Snyder if Luthor was going to be in the movie at all.
“I think that’s a little bit of a spoiler,” Snyder replied. “But I think that Jesse’s amazing and hilarious and fun, and he’s in prison so he knows prisons are not in the comic book world pretty viscous places, you know. Pretty porous.”
Well, doesn’t this sound like Mr. Luthor will be staging a prison break while Bruce Wayne is busy recruiting the other soon-to-be members of the Justice League.
