RUMOR: Michael Mando Cast As Carnage In ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’?

Earlier this week it was revealed that actor Michael Mando had been cast in the currently filming, Spider-Man: Homecoming. No details were revealed following the announcement, but a new tweet from one of Mando’s shows’ Twitter account suggests the actor could be playing Carnage.

Carnage is a villain of Spider-Man’s, who is often credited as being the character’s most brutal and strong foe. He is essentially the product of the Venom symbiote, but while Eddie Brock wasn’t completely insane, Cletus Kassidy is a notorious serial killer. The combination lead to, as the name suggests, absolute Carnage.

While it does sound possible that Mando could be portraying the character, his role in Homecoming would likely serve as a backstory, allowing the studio to utilize the character later down the road. After all, it does sound like Sony has a lot planned for Spider-Man.
