After the underwhelming release of Batman v Superman, everyone is on the edge of their seat (albeit a bit wearily) anticipating Suicide Squad. This film is the next installment of the rising DCEU and the first that isn’t helmed by Zack Snyder. Many fans blame him for BvS not living up to what everyone thought it would be, but from the reactions to the SS trailers so far, the fans seem to have a bit more faith in David Ayer. This past Friday, Ayer shared a tweet that post-production on the film is completely done and revealed the movie’s runtime to be 130 minutes including the credits.
This film has a decent amount to get done, so the time seems appropriate; they need to establish the team’s relationship together, where the Joker comes into play, where Batman comes into play, and obviously the main plot as to why the team is formed in the first place. If it is paced out correctly, then everything should easily be able to flow together nicely in two hours. But we will have to wait and see for ourselves when the movie drops.
