For the most part, DC’s shows on the CW have been met with extremely positive feedback this past TV season. Last month, Supergirl – which originally aired on CBS during its first season – will now be moving over to the CW where it’s sophomore season will air, and will join the ranks of shows like The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Arrow. Earlier today the CW announced the dates of when we will see some of our favorite shows return. Without further ado, let’s dive right into it:
Tuesday, October 4th @ 8pm
The Flash is returning to the CW for it’s third season this October. Since the season 2 finale, fans are interested to see how this season will start out. Without giving anything away, season 2’s finale took inspiration from a very popular Flash comic, which has fans both excited, and worried. Everyone is curious to see how Barry’s actions will change the course of the rest of the DC shows on the CW. Prepare yourselves Flash fans.
Wednesday, October 5th @ 8pm
*sigh* oh Arrow. I think it goes without saying that this previous season was definitely the weakest the show’s ever been. A lot of fans stopped watching during Season 3, and even more have quit the show most recently due to the many story, and character decisions the writers made over the course of season 4. If the Arrow Writer’s Room can finally get it together in Season 5, and deliver something watchable along the lines of the show’s first two seasons, they just might get their fan base back. Here’s hoping for great action, character development, great plot, and less romance.
Monday, October 10 @ 8pm
That’s right, The Girl of Steel will be making her CW debut during the second week of October! Season 1 was a mixed bag for a lot of folks. Supergirl, without a doubt, has tons of potential to be one of the most popular shows on the CW. With the inclusion of J’onn J’onzz a.k.a Martian Manhunter in season one, and with Superman (played by Tyler Hoechlin) making a full body appearance in season 2, it’ll be interesting to see how this will all fit together in the “Arrowverse”.
However, having a character like Superman around in the Arrowverse could raise a lot of questions and story issues, especially if there’s some kind “world-ending” disaster like what happened during Arrow’s last few episodes, and he’s not around to help or stop it altogether. Again, Supergirl’s inclusion in this universe is a dream come true for a lot of people. Let’s just hope everything gels well together.
Thursday, October 13th @ 8pm
DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW
Dc’s Legends had a pretty good freshman season. There was a little bit of worry later on that the show would get canceled after it’s first season because they went over budget with special effects and CGI, but alas, the Legends will return this October. Again, there’s a lot of potential with this show. The season finale revealed the existence of a very popular DC team that fans are eager to see. This is a good show. If you’re a fan of DC Comics, you’ll really enjoy all of the nods and Easter Eggs to various events and characters in the DC Universe.
Well, there you have it folks! Which DC show are you looking forward to seeing this October? Let us know in the comments below, or hit us up on Twitter!
