‘Justice League’ To Film In Iceland In October Or November

When the Justice League trailer dropped back in July, fans were immediately intrigued when the trailer opens with Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) in a snowy village looking for Aquaman (Jason Mamoa). Affleck’s eerie line delivery told the legend of a man who came on the King Tide, brining the poor food. This scene was most likely filmed on a set in London, where the film has been shooting for a while. However, thanks to a new report, we may be getting some more scenes in this environment.

The scene, which was most likely shot for the trailer, likely took place in somewhere like Iceland. Well, it seems that the entire crew are going to Iceland to shoot more scenes starting within the next couple months.

The main set of the film will reportedly shot in the Djúpavík village as well as shot in other parts of Europe. According to the website Visit Westfjords, actors tied to Atlantis will be filming in this location. Here is the official quote.

Actors like Ben Affleck, Amber Heard, Amy Adams, Jared Leto, Jesse Eisenberg, J.K. Simmons, Jeremy Irons, Willem Dafoe og Julian Lewis Jones are the big names in the movie. A number of well-known Icelandic actors will have minor roles in the film, including Ingvar E. Sigurðsson, Kristbjörg Kjeld, Ágústa Eva Erlendsdóttir and Salóme Gunnarsdóttir.

Several of the cast members listed by the site are characters tied to Atlantis characters, and while not all of these people are shooting in Iceland, this would be a great location for some Aquaman scenes.

It will be interesting to see what will be filmed while the crew is in Iceland. It is important to note that the cast list associated with the article is not the list of who is filming in Iceland. Jason Mamoa isn’t even listed. We will have to see what comes out of this news, and if any behind-the-scenes photos come from the filming.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy.  Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat.  But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League will be released in November 2017 and stars Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Mamoa, and Ray Fisher.
