‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ To Be Scored By Michael Giacchino

After the success of Doctor Strange, and the memorable score that came with it, Spider-Man: Homecoming has picked up their composer for their score. Michael Giacchino has worked on many other Disney and Disney-affiliated films, like Up, The Incredibles, and even Doctor Strange itself. Most recently, he’s been working on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which will release next month.

The news didn’t break officially, but it did come straight from Kevin Feige’s mouth. The news was discovered on Reddit, after a user shared this tidbit of news:

On Thursday night I went to a a screening of Dr. Strange with Kevin Feige and Scott Derickson, and there was a Q&A afterwards.
Kevin Feige accidentally let slip that Michael Giacchino will be composing the music for Spider-Man: Homecoming. He then said “We announced that right? I really hope we announced that.”

Personally, from the other films we’ve seen so far with Giacchino’s touch, I have no doubts on what he can accomplish with Spider-Man: Homecoming. Many think that anything he can do will be an upgrade from the dub-step heavy score from the last Spider-Man movie, but we’d like to know what you think about it. Do you think Giacchino will do well with the film? Let us know in the comments below, on Twitter or Instagram!
