‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Production Date Revealed

Avengers: Infinity War is such a fitting title for this movie. Not only is it a literal war against Thanos in his everlasting search for the Infinity Stones to match his newly acquired Infinity Gauntlet, it’ll be a culmination of everything that has happened in the ever-growing Marvel Cinematic Universe. Since the start of the cinematic universe in 2008 with Iron Man, it has all been leading up to this climax. The Avengers assembled for the first time to face off against Loki’s invasion, under the supervision of Thanos from afar. Every major threat and cosmic anomaly somehow traces back to the Mad Titan and in 2018, we will see almost every character introduced try their luck against him.

Until then, news about the movie has been very scarce. A few confirmed appearances have gradually seeped their way into the news. Other than that, news has been minimal. It’s been revealed that the movie is currently in pre-production and has been confirmed to start production on January 15, 2017; that’s less than a month away from now. Considering the movie is set to be released on May 4, 2018, starting production this early gives the Russos time to implement their vision to this movie without upcoming deadlines. It’s also noted that Marvel will also start production for Black Panther around that same time as well. Marvel will be handling both projects at the same time. Filming is set to start fairly soon and will be mainly based in Atlanta, GA: a staple of filming locations for the MCU. London has also been mentioned but it hasn’t been confirmed.
