Lex Luthor & Queen Hippolyta Confirmed For ‘Justice League’

Justice League (out November 17th, 2017) is set to debut the greatest superhero team ever on the big screen next year. With the introduction of characters like The Flash, Cyborg and possibly Green Lantern, it’s no surprise that the film will be on everyone’s radar until it hits theaters in the fall. With the new year right around the corner and the official countdown of the League’s debut underway, we still don’t have a clear picture of what other DC characters could make an appearance in the film.

However, thanks to a press kit sent out by Warner Brothers, we now have confirmation that Jesse Eisenberg, who made his debut as Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman, will be making a return as the bald-headed baddie in Justice League, but it’s not known how big of a role he’ll play. Also mentioned in the release is Diana Prince’s mother, Queen Hippolyta, who will also make an appearance. We’ll be seeing her twice next year as she’ll also be in Wonder Woman.

Eisenberg had mentioned that he’d be in Justice League a few months back, so this is just official confirmation. Queen Hippolyta’s inclusion, on the other hand, is something that we didn’t know about so it’ll be interesting to see how she used in the film, and if her involvement has anything to do with the events that’ll occur in Wonder Woman.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
