We learned last year that production on the next two ‘Avengers’ movies, which are slated for release in May 2018 and May 2019 and are being shot back to back, would start at the beginning of 2017. The directors of both films Anthony and Joe Russo (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War) have spent the last few months scouting possible shooting locations for the film. Now, Collider’s Steve Weintraub has sent out the following tweet…

There are a few Marvel actors currently promoting films at Sundance so this could be where Steve Weintraub got this information. We know that ‘Avengers’ 3 and 4 will be shooting in the UK cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh starting on the 28th February and it’s safe to assume that Atlanta will be another major filming location as a large number of Marvel films have located there in the past.
With production beginning now we can also bet a lot of money on some kind of trailer being released at San Diego Comic Con in July along with, hopefully, a full cast presence. Fans are also clamouring to find out what Avengers 4 will be titled. When the two films were announced, they were titled Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and Part 2, but since then the Russo brothers have revealed that ‘Avengers 4’ will be titled something different as they are two distinct stories instead of one story split into two movies. As filming continues we hope to get looks of set pieces and new suits for our favourite Marvel heroes.
You can catch Avengers: Infinity War in theatres on May 4th 2018 and it’s currently untitled sequel on May 3rd 2019!
