It has been confirmed that Marco Beltrami, the composer for the last Wolverine film, The Wolverine, is returning to score the upcoming Logan. In a twitter interaction with a fan, director James Mangold confirmed that Beltrami is scoring the movie.
@marco_beltrami Sure! But always wise to start softer and hear from other side before making accusations. Relax. Marco is scoring the film.

Cliff Martinez was originally attached to score Logan, but was ultimately replaced by Beltrami. Martinez scored films like Drive and The Neon Demon, so this would’ve been his first superhero movie. The reasons why Martinez left are unknown at the moment. Beltrami has worked with Mangold twice on 3:10 To Yuma and The Wolverine.
Logan arrives in theater March 3, 2017.
