Emma Dumont To Play Polaris In Upcoming ‘X-Men’ TV Show

The upcoming, still untitled X-Men TV series has been making headlines at least once a week for well over a month now, constantly announcing new cast members. Now, Nobody Walks star, Emma Dumont, has taken to Twitter and personally confirmed her involvement with the show, as well as the character she will be playing.

 

There you have it: Polaris! In the X-Men comics lore, Polaris (real name: Lorna Dane) is able to control magnetism, much like Magneto, who is eventually revealed to be her father. For most of the time, Polaris was a heroine and member of numerous mutant teams, however, there is one storyline in which she turns into the supervillain Malice.

Dumont hereby joins Stephen Moyer, Jamie Chung, Blair Redford, Sean Tale and Natalie Alyn Lind. The pilot episode of the series will be directed by X-Men: Days Of Future Past helmer Bryan Singer and produced by Lauren Shuler Donner and Simon Kinberg.

The Untitled Fox Marvel Project will focus on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive. The series will be produced by 20th Century Fox Television and Marvel Television, with 20th Century Fox handling physical production.
