Avengers: Infinity War is currently getting ready to film in Edinburgh, Scotland with action sequences already being rehearsed in the heart of the city. Yesterday we posted some exclusive photos and videos from the set while the photo below of Vision being attacked by two CGI characters with staffs also surfaced online. Now, our source on location managed to get a sneak peak at a rehearsal for a fight scene involving Captain America, Vision, Scarlet Witch and Black Widow, and has provided us with some exclusive details…
“I saw stunt doubles for Chris Evans, Paul Bethany, Elizabeth Olsen and Scarlet Johansson rehearsing a sequence involving the four heroes in full costume fighting a few more of those CGI characters with CGI staffs. It was hard to see, but Cap’s suit seemed to be the same one from Captain America: Civil War. In the fight sequence, Cap was holding a CGI staff. It seems as though he has to improvise without his shield.
Vision was also on set in full costume, cape and all and I saw a sequence which involved Vision lying in Scarlett Witch’s arms. It was hard to tell if he was dead or just seriously injured. It’s safe to assume that the mind stone in Vision’s forehead will be removed so Thanos can assemble all of the Infinity Stones in the Infinity Gauntlet. Perhaps without the mind stone Vision is still alive but nowhere near as powerful.
Scarlet Witch was in civilian clothing but due to the sequence likely being a rehearsal, she will most likely be wearing the costume when they begin actually filming the sequence.
Black Widow was also present on scene, again in full costume. The woman wearing the Black Widow suit seemingly had blonde hair, again probably just for the rehearsals. It seems safe to assume that when the sequence is filmed Widow will be sporting her red hair as seen in previous films.”
In the fight sequence, all our heroes were taking on CGI characters with staffs. We are assuming these are aliens as they were reportedly wearing extension rods above their heads with reference balls at the top – a similar technique was used when filming motion capture for James Spader’s Ultron during Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Avengers: Infinity War hits theatres on May 4th 2018! A title for ‘Avengers 4’, which hits theatres on May 3rd 2019, has not been released but it is being filmed back to back with Avengers: Infinity War.
We will hopefully have more information next week as official filming is scheduled to begin next Thursday in Edinburgh. Until then, what do you think of this scene description? Do you think Vision could be dead or just seriously injured? Make sure you let us know your thoughts in the comment section below or on our Instagram and Twitter!
