‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2’ Won’t Be The Last Time We See Ego

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has been at the forefront of the minds of Marvel fans for some time now, and a great cause of excitement stems from the film’s inclusion of Ego the Living Planet, who will be played by Kurt Russell. We also know that Sylvester Stallone will be part of the film, though who he is portraying remains unknown. These two characters, however, will not be done away with in this installment of the MCU. According to James Gunn, we will see them return in the future of the expanding universe.

“This is definitely not a one-off [for them]. They’re both characters that we’ve taken a lot of time to develop, and they’re a big part of the MCU now.”

It would not be very surprising to see them come up in future Guardians films, but Gunn does not specifically mention where they will pop up next. Considering he claims they are “a big part of the MCU now” means that they could potentially show up anywhere down the road, within reason. We’ll probably get a better idea of where we’ll see them next when Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters on May 5th, so be sure to stay tuned for updates on all things Guardians!

What do you guys think? Who is Stallone playing in the movie? Where are we going to see these guys next? Let us know in the comments as well as on our Twitter and Instagram!
