As it approaches the March 24th release date for Power Rangers, we are starting to see more and more promotion for the film by its’ stars. Bryan Cranston (Zordon) and Elizabeth Banks (Rita Repulsa) both made appearances on The Today Show and brought new clips from the upcoming film with them.
Bryan Cranston helped The Today Show to debut a clip where the Rangers meet Zordon for the first time in the command center. He also discussed his history with the Power Rangers franchise including providing the voice of some of the monsters in the Fox Kids series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. He even uses his “monster voice” at times throughout the interview.
Elizabeth Banks discusses how much fun she had making this film while sharing that “the makeup was scary”. She also premieres a new clip featuring the scene shown in the trailers where Rita attacks Trini (Becky G) in her bedroom. The clip gives us a better look at Repulsa’s Green suit and how it transforms in what is a seemingly unnatural way. It is possible that we will see the Rangers’ arch nemesis corrupt the dragon coin with her evil as a part of her plan for world domination in the upcoming film.
Additionally, two TV spots were released as well as a batch of new images and promo art. You can check those out down below.
