Patrick Stewart Will Reportedly Appear As Charles Xavier In ‘Legion’ Season Two

In todays world, superhero’s are one of the most popular subjects for television shows. Ever since the Arrow-verse began, new projects have been popping up left and right. From Marvels Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, to Netflix’s Daredevil, all the way to FOX’s Gotham, every show has been a massive hit.

Due to this recent boom in superhero interest, the creators of the X-Men cinematic universe wanted to join in, with two new shows, Legion, and another show with no official title. So far, Legion is a hit, many fans are interested, and all of those who watch seem to enjoy greatly. As interest has grown, the questions have emerged. Curiosity has been coming around from every corner, mainly due to the massive demand for a Professor X cameo.

Thanks to Den of Geek, we now know that Noah Hawley, the shows creator claims that he plans to have Charles Xavier appear in the show in the future seasons.

“I think that’s something we’re definitely going to approach. It’s a creative conversation, but it’s also a sort of corporate conversation, you know, on some level – in terms of the movie studio and their relationship to the X-Men and the characters they want in the movies and want to protect potentially, and were we to want to have Professor X on the show, or even Patrick Stewart on the show, James McAvoy or one of those actors, [it] is a conversation both with the actor and with the studio. So, I don’t know, I haven’t really dived into that quandary yet, but certainly I need to start thinking about it.”

If you aren’t aware, Charles Xavier is David Haller AKA Legion’s dad, so it seems a bit obvious to have him appear on the show. Thankfully for us fans of Legion, it seems like Sir Patrick Stewart, the actor behind Charles Xavier, also would like to appear on the show, due to his comments on an episode of The Late Late Show.

Do you think Sir Patrick Stewart should appear as Charles Xavier on Legion? Would you prefer it be James McAvoy? Let us know in the comments or on our twitter @TheDropHQ!
