RUMOR: Gwyneth Paltrow Possibly Reprising Role As Pepper Potts For ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’

Though it revealed many plot points of the film, the latest Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer has fans anxiously awaiting Spidey’s first solo outing in the MCU. The trailer showcased Tony Stark as more of a father type figure to Peter as he progresses in the heroing world. It can be assumed that a subplot of the movie will focus on their relationship, and it will be interesting to see how this is fleshed out beyond what we saw in Captain America: Civil War. According to a report by Lainey Gossip, we could be seeing someone else with a close relationship to Tony appear in Homecoming.

Despite her contract with Marvel having come to  close after Iron Man 3, the report said that Pepper Pots could show up in the Wall-Crawler’s film. This wouldn’t be too much of a surprise, seeing as Happy Hogan is also in the movie, which we got a look at in the promo for the first trailer that hit, and also in the most recent trailer. The only question this poses is how she will fit into the story, and where she stands with Tony. As explained briefly in Civil War, the two had separated some time between the events of Age of Ultron and the former. Again, this is only a rumor for now but be sure to stay tuned for updates on all things Spider-Man: Homecoming!

What do you guys think? Do you want to see Pepper and Tony reunited? Should she be left out of the film? Let us know in the comments as well as on our Twitter and Instagram!
