Now, this doesn’t really come as a huge surprise to anyone, but it’s official: the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) has given this year’s Wonder Woman received a PG-13 rating:
“Rated PG-13 for sequences of violence and action, and some suggestive content.”
While this was to be expected, it does beg the question how long it’ll be until we see an R-rated movie from either Disney or Warner Bros. in their respective cinematic universes. Both Deadpool and Logan have proven that rated-R superhero films can also be tremendous financial successes, which could end up being the push the MCU or DCEU needed.
