Kevin Feige Confirms Spider-Man For ‘Avengers 4’; Teases ‘Homecoming’ Sequel In 2019

In just a little more than two months, fans will be treated to the first Spider-Man solo film that takes place within the Marvel Cinematic Universe; Spider-Man: Homecoming. The web-slinger, played by Tom Holland, made his sensational MCU-debut in Captain America: Civil War and will also appear in next year’s Avengers: Infinity War.

So far, Marvel have kept quiet about their plans for the character beyond 2018, however, the studio’s head Kevin Feige now seems to have confirmed Spidey for 2019’s Avengers 4 and also teased a Homecoming sequel for the same year. There have been rumors of the character leaving the MCU after that, but nothing has been said about that.

“That’s as far as it goes for now,” Feige said.

Although Sony Studios are moving forward with live-action installments for other Spider-Man characters such as Venom, Black Cat, and Silver Sable, Marvel are not affiliated with those in any way. Why?

“We had a very particular plan about Spidey himself,” Feige answered, although he kept those plans to himself.

Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters on July 6, 2017, while Avengers: Infinity War is set to release on May 4, 2018.
