Marvel Legends Homemade Suit Spider-Man Review

Spider-Man: Homecoming is finally in theaters and being a huge Spidey fan as well as collector, I’ve been waiting to get my hands on the film’s Marvel Legends wave. The first figure I’ve picked up from the wave is the homemade-suited Wall-Crawler. So let’s get into it!

This is one of my favorite suits that Spider-Man has worn on-screen, and my affection for it has only grown since obtaining the figure. With it, we’ve gotten a brand new sculpt and it captures the costume tremendously. Wrinkles have been sculpted continuously throughout to give it more depth, which is always appreciated. In terms of articulation nothing is necessarily hindered but there’s room for more range of motion. He can look nearly all the way up, has double-jointed elbows and knees, boot rotation, ankle pivot, wrist hinges, and ab crunch that could stand to crunch forward a bit more. I am not complaining about the articulation by any means, but especially with Marvel Legends it seems that there is always room for improvement.

In terms of accessories, we got interchangeable hands; one pair of thwipping hands and one pair of fisted hands. And we also get two interchangeable hood pieces so that you can pose him either with the hood up or down. We saw this with the Spider-Gwen figure as well, and it would’ve been cool to see this with the Scarlet Spider, which bears a striking resemblance to the homemade suit.

All in all, I’m super stoked to have this piece in my collection and it currently sits in my top 5 favorite Spidey figures. Though, this may change with the release of the Mafex, S.H. Figuarts, and Mezco Homecoming figures. Be sure to stay tuned for more action figure reviews!
