Jeremy Renner Talks Hawkeye’s Role And Screentime In ‘Avengers: Infinity War’

Jeremy Renner plays the underappreciated, lesser-known Avenger of Clint Barton, or Hawkeye, but in the 2019 release of Avengers: 4, he explains the character will be getting a fair amount of screen time in the sequel to 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War.

Renner, in an interview with Collider, explains how Hawkeye will be getting a decent amount of screen time in both Avengers: Infinity War and its unnamed sequel to build character. He says:

“Yeah… I mean, I think they’ve got a lot going on in the Marvel world and I’m just happy to be a part of it. I do want to explore more with the character. I’m down. I’m always wanting to understand Barton much more cause I think he’s just a kickass character and I hope we get to explore a lot more. It looks like we’re going to be pretty busy for the rest of the year, so I can’t wait to see what they come up with.”

However, as it currently stands, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: 4 are the last two movies in Renner’s contract; it seems to have been extended for Renner to get more character development in with Hawkeye. Whether or not Clint Barton will survive the upcoming events in the Avengers movies, we’ll just have to wait and find out.

Will Hawkeye survive, or will these permanently be Renner’s last two movies? Let us know what you think in the comments, on our Twitter, and on our Instagram!
