Karen Gillan On The Exploration Of Nebula’s Past In ‘Infinity War’

Nebula is a fascinating character in the Guardian of the Galaxy. She’s not exactly a villain, but she has been on the dark side. It was revealed that Thanos essentially tortured her, and replaced her parts with robotics every time she lost to Gamora in a duel. Karen Gillan at Florida Supercon talked about how Nebula’s arc will continue in Infinity War.

“Without giving away any spoilers,” Gillan said. “We’re definitely going to continue the arc for Nebula and find out more about her past. And actually, we’re going to find out that it’s even worse than we know. We’re going to see her confront all of it. It’s going to be like an emotional explosion.”

Her past is tragic, so it’ll be interesting to see how they explore it even more. Nebula definitely has the most personal issues with Thanos, so she’ll have no trouble siding with the heroes to fight him.

Gillian then went on to talk about what DC role she would play.

“Oh, can I say something DC? Okay, I’m going to say something DC, and I’m going to play the Joker. Maybe a female Joker. This is my calling! Somebody make a call for me and let them know I’m available.”

Gillian as a female Joker would be interesting. Unfortunately that role will most likely go to Lauren Cohan in Flashpoint, as she already plays Martha Wayne.
